Host always keeps the level's astronaut; protocol version 2
Missions that start with a robot selected (e.g. chapter 2 missions 2-3)
left the host without a claimed astronaut, so the first player to join
was handed the original instead of getting their own. The host now
claims its selection if it is an astronaut, else the first astronaut of
its team.

Bump PROTOCOL_VERSION: the Welcome format changed with astronaut
ownership, so mixed old/new builds are refused instead of half working.

This is the main repository for the open-source Colobot: Gold Edition project developed by TerranovaTeam and community contributors, based on the original game by Epsitec.

This repository contains only the source code of the project. The game also requires data files which are provided as a git submodule and are hosted in a separate repository.

Features

  • Multiplatform - play the game on any modern OS.
  • New game modes - challenge yourself in Missions+ or challenge your friends in CodeBattles.
  • Network multiplayer - fight your friends in code battles or play together, see docs/MULTIPLAYER.md.
  • Mod support - download custom levels and assets from our ModDB page.
  • Improved visuals, QoL additions, bug fixes, and other improvements.
